BevFacts

Cookie Policy

Current version
The short version: BevFacts sets zero cookies and does no tracking. It stores at most two things on your device — your light/dark theme choice and your language choice — and only if you use those toggles.

1. Cookies we set

None. First-party, third-party, session, persistent, essential, analytical, advertising: none of any category.

2. Other browser storage

Up to two functional localStorage entries, and only if you use the matching toggle in the header:

Neither is an identifier, neither is ever sent anywhere, and each is written only when you click its toggle. Clearing your site data removes them. We use no sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or cache-based identifiers. Your drink data lives only in the page URL fragment, which stays in your address bar and your hands (see the Privacy Policy).

3. Third-party embeds

The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, CDNs, iframes, or beacons — every asset is served from this site. There is no third party in a position to set a cookie through our pages.

4. Hosting

GitHub Pages, our host, serves the site's files. GitHub does not set cookies on *.github.io/custom-domain Pages sites for tracking purposes; operational details are covered by the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

5. If this ever changes

Any future feature that requires a cookie or persistent storage will update this page first, describe exactly what is stored and why, and — where consent is legally required — ask before setting anything. The change history is public in the repository.
